Coyote Ugly Las Vegas Review

In the mist of the glits, glamor and up-scale nightclubs in Sin City is the Coyote Ugly Las Vegas located in the New York-New York Hotel and Casino. To review some history about the original Coyote Ugly, it had its' roots as a bar in New York City. In addition, Coyote Ugly was a movie based on that New York bar.

The movie had a bar full of rowdy people living it up, dancing on the bar, and just having a ton of good clean fun! That is the best way to describe the Coyote Ugly bar in Las Vegas. But this is not a normal Las Vegas nightclub.

They do not serve high-class cocktails with umbrellas in them; you just order a shot and a beer if your in the mood for a drink. There is no celebrity DJ blasting tunes out of a high end stereo system; visitors just select their favorite contemporary rock songs from the jukebox.

There is no ultra-sheik décor and modernistic furniture designs; you just hang out and check out the wooden walls covered with memorabilia including a few bras and neckties. There is no seating in the main portion of the club; you just stand at the bar or dance on it. If you would like to relax, you can go into the backroom and grab any available seat.

Your drinks are served by the hot and sexy Coyotes. The Coyotes girls are not only bartenders they are trained dancers and put on quite a show. If they are not serving drinks they are dancing on the bar with other female patrons or spraying the visitors with water at their leisure. Gentlemen are allowed in the bar but not “on” the bar!

The entire experience is similar to the movie except your in it!

In the Coyote Ugly at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino you are expected to get rowdy and have a good time. You can skip all the drama of the up scale Las Vegas nightclubs and you don't even have to worry about getting all decked out - you're even encouraged to "dress down".

The Coyote Ugly Las Vegas duplicates all the rowdy fun from the movie as well as the New York City bar then re-enacts it every night in Vegas.

VooDoo Lounge Las Vegas Review

The Voodoo Lounge Rio resides on the 51st floor of the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. As you approach the entrance to the elevator for the Voodoo Lounge you experience the hustle and bustle on the casino floor in the Masquerade Village section of the hotel.

Since the Voodoo Lounge is one of the more popular lounges in Las Vegas a line normally forms to ride the elevator up to the 51st floor. If your lucky enough to have a Las Vegas club or line pass you can skip the line and board the elevator immediately.

If you happen to get stuck in line you can always check out the menu posted on the walls for the VooDoo Steak restaurant which is one floor below the lounge itself. The inside area of the Voodoo Lounge can be accessed from the Voodoo restaurant by a huge staircase that connects the 50th and 51st floors.

The elevator actually climbs up the building on the outside and has a large glass window from which you can view the South portion of the Las Vegas Strip as you make your accent. The elevator ride itself is a fun time especially if you are with a good group.

As you exit the elevator, you have a short walk through a dark hallway that is illuminated with black light and what can best be described as voodoo-like artwork hanging on the walls. Once inside the club the candle themed décor gives a sense that voodoo magic is being performed by the bartenders as they mix their potions before serving them to the guests.

The inside of the voodoo lounge features a stage for live band performances. There is not really a dedicated dance floor but visitors for the most part create their own dance floor in their booths or wherever need be. There is even a stripper pole used as part of the décor.

However, the outside patio area of the club is where the voodoo magic begins. First there is a spectacular view of the entire Las Vegas Strip and at night it is breathtaking. You can pull up a VIP couch and a nice cocktail then just relax and take in the views. The outdoor area of the Voodoo Lounge Rio has a bar and a DJ spinning top 40 or hip-hop to keep things moving.

The voodoo lounge at the Rio is a great place to kick back, relax and enjoy a few voodoo magic potions. It really is not dominated by any particular age group and anyone can visit without felling out of place or uncomfortable.

Pure nightclub, also known as Club Pure, is located inside Caesars Palace on the famous Las Vegas strip. In all, the Pure nightclub occupies over 39,000 square feet of the Caesars Palace resort. Formed by a group of well known celebrities, it has increasingly become a very popular Las Vegas Strip destination and is touted as the best club in Las Vegas. LAX Nightclub in Las Vegas is a 26,000 square foot – 1,100 person capacity hotspot located at the Luxor Hotel and Casino on the South end of the Las Vegas Strip. LAX is the sister nightclub of Pure at Caesars Palace and also has a location in Hollywood with has just as many celebrity sightings as its siblings.

You enter the nightclub through two gothic looking gates that lead you to a dark bluish neon stairwell. The Club has two levels and is laid out with much architectural originality and will remind you of a sophisticated roman cathedral. The main color theme is a dark red that is complimented by the gothic style entrance gates.

The first story has a dance floor surrounded by VIP seating with the DJ booth elevated against the wall. The second story has additional VIP seating with most areas equipped with a small fridge and locking cabinets for secure storage of personal items. The second floor also offers a variety of seating ranging from tables and lofts to entire rooms for parties.

The two levels of the club are connected by a huge sprawling staircase. The décor is mostly red and black leather padded seating, dark red draperies and accented with more gothic tones and low ceilings in places. LAX Night Club has four bars that serve many signature drinks as well as long standing favorites. The Nightclub is equipped with a top of the line sound and lighting system and the music varies depending on the night of the week.
